Cedar Impressions siding: first impressions are lasting
Rustic shake siding brings to mind ocean views and cozy cedar-shake cottages by the beach. One doesn't have to live near the sea to take advantage of CertainTeed Cedar Impression siding. The TrueTexture finish is molded from real cedar shingles. This process gives the wood textures more varied patterns, deep shadow lines and staggered profile, bringing the feel of fresh-cut wood and vintage, handcrafted workmanship.
The family of Cedar Impression products includes six styles, each with their own unique façade:
- Triple 5-inch straight edge perfection shingles
- Double 7-inch straight edge perfection shingles
- Double 7-inch staggered perfection shingles
- Double 7-inch straight edge rough-split shakes
- Double 9-inch staggered rough-split shakes
- Double 6 ¼-inch half-round shingles
This CertainTeed family of Cedar Impressions siding guarantees beauty as well as performance. The vinyl shake profile comes in panel projections of 3/4-inch to 1-inch, offering resistance to winds up to 175 mph, while requiring no heavy maintenance.
Spice it up with Cedar Impression siding
Designer colors include both dramatic dark hues--from Barn Red, Spruce and Terra Cotta to Desert Tan, Heritage Cream and Colonial White, and lighter pastels of the Watercolors palette--Sea Breeze, Autumn Yellow and Coral. The Cedar Impression siding color palette is designed to complement colors and styles, such as adding half-round vinyl shingles as the perfect accent for gables, bay windows and other areas.
Cedar Impression Naturals™ is the newest line of polymer shake siding products, featuring the authentic look of cedar wood treated with a semi-transparent stain, Cedar Blend for the look of fresh-cut cedar; Rustic Blend, for an aged cedar appearance, and Driftwood Blend designed to replicate weathered wood.
The shingle siding costs more than standard vinyl siding, around $7.20 to $7.40 per square foot, depending on color and style. Cedar Impression siding comes with a lifetime limited warranties for the original homeowner. The warranty is transferable if the home is sold. Installation should be in accordance with manufacturer's instructions; otherwise, it may be void if improperly installed.
